On‑Site Oxygen Cylinder Filling, Built for Operational Independence

The Oxywise Oxygen Filling Station – Compact combines on‑site oxygen generation with high‑pressure cylinder filling in one engineered solution. It is designed for businesses that want control over oxygen availability, especially where deliveries are costly, slow, or unreliable, or where a site needs its own cylinder stock for daily operations, backup supply, or distribution across multiple departments.

The system produces oxygen from 3.4 to 34.9 m³/h, supports 93% or 95% oxygen purity (model dependent), and fills cylinders up to an end pressure of 152–207 bar. For planning and logistics, filling output is specified from 13.6 to 139 cylinders per day, which helps you translate oxygen production into real operational capacity rather than estimating from flow rate alone.

Why “Compact” Matters in the Real World

“Compact” means the solution is engineered to reduce complexity on site. Instead of building a filling station from multiple separate packages, this approach streamlines deployment with a practical, integrated layout. That is valuable for remote sites, fast projects, and facilities that want a dependable cylinder-filling capability without extensive engineering work or long commissioning timelines.

For installations where mobility matters, compact skid configurations support practical relocation and easier movement within a facility. This is useful when operations evolve, when construction phases require temporary positioning, or when the oxygen supply needs to be moved to match production changes.

How the System Works - Clear Technical Overview

The station generates oxygen using PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) technology and includes high pressure compression for filling oxygen cylinders. In PSA oxygen generation, compressed air is separated through molecular sieve beds that preferentially retain nitrogen under pressure, allowing oxygen enriched gas to pass through as product. After oxygen is produced, it is compressed to the required high pressure so cylinders can be filled consistently and efficiently.

An important operational advantage is automated control behavior during filling. The station is designed so filling can stop automatically when charging is complete, helping reduce operator workload and supporting repeatable daily filling routines.

Performance You Can Specify: Oxygen Flow, Purity, and Filling Throughput

Capacity planning becomes straightforward because the compact station is specified with both oxygen production and cylinder filling throughput. Oxygen production ranges from 3.4 to 34.9 m³/h, while the filling capacity range of 13.6 to 139 cylinders per day is presented in a way that helps procurement and operations teams align equipment selection with real cylinder consumption. The cylinder/day figure is defined using a standard cylinder volume reference, making it easier to estimate results for typical cylinder fleets.

Purity choices of 93% and 95% allow you to align the station with your process requirements and filling strategy. End pressure options of 152 to 207 bar support high pressure cylinder storage needs commonly used in industrial distribution and on site inventory.

Deployment Formats: Stand Alone, Skid Mounted, or Containerised

Oxywise supports multiple deployment approaches for oxygen filling stations so customers can match the solution to site conditions. A stand alone setup is a practical choice for indoor installations where space is available and service access is a priority. A skid mounted solution supports faster deployment and easier movement, typically with a compact, pre assembled layout that minimizes installation effort. A containerised version is ideal when the station must operate in harsh environments or remote locations, with the ability to specify the unit for challenging climate and exposure conditions.

This flexibility makes it easier to standardize oxygen filling capability across multiple sites—using a common technology foundation while selecting the physical format that best fits each location.

Standard Features That Improve Daily Operation

The compact station is designed to be robust and practical for real operating conditions. Standard features include stainless steel oxygen piping for durability, automatic behavior that stops filling when charging is complete, and an integrated oxygen analyzer with alarm function so operators have continuous visibility of oxygen quality during filling operations. Connection interfaces can be aligned to customer requirements, supporting integration into existing cylinder handling workflows.

Optional Features for Better Control, Safety, and Traceability

Many sites want added protection and visibility in high pressure oxygen service. Optional features support this with remote alarm and control capabilities (including SMS), audio/visual alarms, sequential start/stop for simplified operation, and filling ramp options suitable for different cylinder sizes. For quality management and equipment protection, additional sensing such as product gas dew point measurement and temperature monitoring can be specified, alongside options that help protect the system from oil contamination—an important consideration in oxygen systems.

Installation Considerations: Shelter, Environment, and Relocation

For compact skid deployments, planning the installation environment is essential for long-term reliability. A covered shelter or indoor installation is recommended for harsh or adverse conditions such as extreme temperatures, high humidity, saliferous air, or dusty/sandy environments. When planned properly, the compact skid approach can support semi permanent operation while still allowing relocation when needed.

Oxygen Safety: Practical Operating Discipline

Oxygen systems require disciplined safety practices because oxygen enrichment increases combustion risk. Safe operation depends on correct equipment selection, compatible materials, good housekeeping, and strict contamination control—especially in high pressure cylinder filling. A well-designed station supports safer operation through integrated monitoring, alarms, and protective options that help operators maintain control over the process.

Standard features

  • Robust design, piping from Stainless Steel (AISI316)
  • Automatic - filling stops when charging is complete
  • Connection according to customer's request
  • Plug & play compact solution
  • Integrated O2 analyzer with alarm function
  • Transportable
  • All-in-one

Optional features

  • SMS alarm & control (remote start/stop, status SMS, alarm warning SMS)
  • Audio/visual alarm
  • One button operation (sequential start/stop system)
  • Filling ramp suitable for various cylinder sizes
  • Product gas dew point sensor
  • Remote and automatic protection from oil contamination

Skid mounted unit

All components mounted on a common skid, ideal for ease of movement once at the install location and for regular relocation. The skid can be moved with a forklift truck or similar. Installation is semi-permanent, but can be moved to a different location easily.

This installation requires a minimum of a covered shelter from the elements or an internal installation for environments with adverse external conditions, for example unusually high or low temperatures, extremely high humidity, saliferous or dusty/sandy.

Oxygen generators

Produce gaseous oxygen from compressed air on site and offer a cost-effective, reliable and safe alternative to traditional oxygen gas supplies such as cylinders or cryogenic liquid. Design is made for round the clock 24/7 operation.
Each generator is equipped with automatic start&stop function, enabling the generator to start and stop automatically according to the consumption.

Both, industrial and medical versions are available.

FAQs

A compact oxygen filling station is an integrated system that generates oxygen on site and compresses it to fill high pressure cylinders. It is intended for facilities that want control over oxygen availability, especially where delivered cylinders are expensive, difficult to schedule, or logistically challenging. It is also a strong solution when a facility needs a consistent in house cylinder inventory for backup supply, distributed points of use, or internal distribution workflows.
