Nitrogen Generator - Standard

A nitrogen generator standard provides a reliable and efficient method for producing nitrogen directly on site, supporting a wide range of industrial processes. Oxywise Nitrogen Standard Generators are designed for companies that require consistent nitrogen supply without the logistical complexity associated with cylinders or bulk liquid deliveries.

By generating nitrogen from ambient air, these systems allow facilities to maintain operational continuity while improving cost control and supply independence.

Purpose of a Nitrogen Generator Standard System

The purpose of a nitrogen generator standard is to deliver nitrogen at purity and flow levels suitable for common industrial applications while maintaining a balance between performance, efficiency, and system simplicity. Unlike custom or ultra‑high‑purity solutions, standard nitrogen generators are optimized for everyday industrial use, where reliability and predictable output are key priorities.

Oxywise nitrogen generator standard systems are engineered to serve as a dependable nitrogen source across diverse industries, from manufacturing to processing environments.

On Site Nitrogen Generation as an Operational Advantage

On‑site nitrogen generation transforms nitrogen supply from a recurring logistical task into a controlled internal process. A nitrogen generator standard system produces nitrogen continuously, reducing dependency on external suppliers and minimizing the risks associated with delayed or interrupted deliveries.

This operational model supports smoother production planning, especially for facilities where nitrogen is an integral part of daily operations rather than an occasional requirement.

Stable Nitrogen Quality for Industrial Processes

Industrial applications often rely on nitrogen not only for its inert properties, but also for its consistency. Nitrogen generator standard systems are designed to maintain stable nitrogen purity and flow, even as demand varies during production cycles.

This consistency supports process reliability in applications such as inerting, purging, and blanketing, where variations in nitrogen quality could affect safety or efficiency.

Designed for Continuous Industrial Operation

A nitrogen generator standard must be capable of operating for extended periods under industrial conditions. Oxywise systems are engineered for continuous duty cycles, with components selected for durability and long service life.

The system design prioritizes straightforward operation and predictable performance, allowing production teams to focus on core processes rather than nitrogen supply management.

Supporting Cost Predictability and Resource Efficiency

One of the key drivers for adopting a nitrogen generator standard is long‑term cost predictability. By generating nitrogen on site, companies can significantly reduce recurring expenses associated with nitrogen deliveries, cylinder handling, and storage.

Over time, this approach supports more efficient resource utilization and contributes to improved cost transparency in industrial operations.

Nitrogen generators

Nitrogen generators produce nitrogen gas from compressed air and offer a cost-effective, reliable and safe alternative to traditional nitrogen gas supplies such as cylinder or liquid.

Nitrogen generators are available in 6 standard models with capacity in the range from 1 - 115 m3/hour from 95% to 99.9995% purity. Oxywise PSA generators are designed for 24/7 operation. The touchscreen control has user friendly interface with automatic start/stop function based on gas consumption.

PSA Technology

A PSA Nitrogen Generator consists of two columns filled with a carbon molecular sieve (CMS). Pre-treated compressed air enters the active column and flows up through the CMS. Oxygen and other unwanted gases are adsorbed while the nitrogen passes through. The active column then becomes fully pressurized. When this pressure is released, the column becomes inactive and completely regenerates during the depressurization. In order to secure a steady flow of nitrogen each generator is built from two columns; one is active while the other is inactive. At the end of each column’s cycle, they switch roles.

FAQ

The term “nitrogen generator standard” refers to an on‑site nitrogen production system designed to meet the requirements of typical industrial applications. These systems provide a defined range of nitrogen purity and flow suitable for common uses, offering a practical and reliable alternative to externally supplied nitrogen without unnecessary complexity.

Companies often choose standard nitrogen generators to eliminate the logistical challenges associated with nitrogen deliveries. On‑site generation provides continuous availability, reduces reliance on external suppliers, and allows facilities to produce nitrogen exactly when it is needed. This leads to increased operational control and improved production reliability.

Nitrogen generator standard systems are used across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, food processing, electronics, metalworking, and packaging. Any operation that requires nitrogen for inerting, purging, or atmosphere control can benefit from a standard nitrogen generator solution.

With on‑site nitrogen generation, production planning becomes more predictable because nitrogen availability is no longer tied to delivery schedules. Facilities can adjust production volumes or run schedules without needing to coordinate nitrogen supply logistics, which supports greater flexibility in day‑to‑day operations.

When generated by a properly designed nitrogen generator standard system, on‑site nitrogen is highly reliable and consistent. The system is engineered to operate continuously and maintain defined nitrogen purity levels, providing a dependable supply that meets the requirements of industrial processes.

Nitrogen generator standard systems are designed for straightforward maintenance as part of routine industrial operations. Regular servicing focuses on ensuring that key components continue to operate efficiently, supporting long‑term reliability and minimizing unplanned downtime.

By eliminating recurring delivery and rental costs, nitrogen generator standard systems support long‑term cost efficiency. Facilities gain greater visibility into nitrogen production costs and reduce exposure to price fluctuations in the external nitrogen supply market, making operational expenses more predictable over time.
