Oxygen Generator - Standard

The Oxywise Oxygen Generator – Standard series is designed for sites that need a dependable oxygen supply in a compact, practical capacity range. Instead of planning around deliveries, cylinder handling, or fluctuating availability, you generate oxygen where it is consumed and keep production moving with a stable, predictable source. This approach is especially valuable when oxygen is used continuously but at modest flow rates, or when several small consumers are spread across a facility and benefit from a consistent supply without frequent logistics.

Oxygen generators
Produce gaseous oxygen from compressed air on site and offer a cost-effective, reliable and safe alternative to traditional oxygen gas supplies such as cylinders or cryogenic liquid. Our design is made for round the clock 24/7 operation. Each generator is equipped with automatic start&stop function, enabling the generator to start and stop automatically according to the consumption.

PSA Technology
PSA Oxygen Generator consists of two columns filled with a zeolite molecular sieve. Pre-treated compressed air enters the active column and flows up through the zeolite. Nitrogen and other unwanted gases are adsorbed while the oxygen passes through. The active column then becomes fully pressurized. When this pressure is released, the column becomes inactive and completely regenerates during the depressurization. In order to secure a steady flow of oxygen, each generator is built from two columns; one is active while the other is inactive. At the end of each columns cycle, they switch roles.

Proven Oxygen Generation for Stable Consumption Profiles

The Oxywise Standard Oxygen Generator series is designed for customers with stable oxygen demand and a need for dependable, straightforward technology. These systems balance performance, efficiency, and installation simplicity, making them suitable for a wide range of industrial processes.

Performance Range, Purity Choices, and Delivery Pressure

The Standard series covers oxygen output from 1 to 8.5 m³/h, supporting common industrial purity selections of 90%, 93%, or 95% O₂ and delivering oxygen at 4–6 bar. This combination is well suited to processes and equipment that require stable line pressure for repeatable operation, such as local oxidation steps, ozone-related systems, pilot lines, workshops, and smaller process areas where oxygen demand is steady rather than high-volume.

Choosing purity is a practical engineering decision. Many applications operate efficiently in the 90–95% range, and selecting the appropriate setpoint helps balance process needs and operating efficiency. When multiple users share one oxygen source, stability is usually improved by sizing for peak use or by adding buffering so the generator can run smoothly while pressure remains steady at the point of use.

Robust Mechanical and Control Design

Standard generators use industrial-grade valves, vessels, and compressors combined with PLC-based control systems. The design emphasizes reliability, predictable output, and ease of service.

Cost-Effective Ownership

Optimized PSA cycles and efficient air management reduce energy consumption while minimizing maintenance intervention, resulting in a low total cost of ownership.

PSA Oxygen Generation: Clear Technical Principle

The Standard series uses Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA), a proven method for separating oxygen from air at near‑ambient temperature. Compressed air enters adsorption vessels filled with molecular sieve material that retains nitrogen more strongly than oxygen under pressure. Oxygen passes through as the product stream, then the system reduces pressure to release nitrogen and regenerate the sieve so the cycle can repeat continuously. This alternating operation provides a consistent oxygen supply while keeping the system straightforward to operate and maintain.

Inlet Air Quality: The Factor That Protects Purity and Lifetime

Stable inlet pressure, correct drying, and effective filtration help protect the molecular sieve and maintain consistent oxygen quality. Many projects specify inlet air quality using ISO 8573‑1, which defines purity classes for particles, water, and oil in compressed air. When air treatment is correctly matched to the required class, the generator operates more predictably, service needs become more manageable, and oxygen quality stays stable across varying plant conditions.

Building a Complete System Around the Generator

A PSA oxygen generator performs best as part of a properly engineered supply chain. In most installations, the generator is paired with a correctly sized compressor, dryer, and filters upstream, and often an oxygen buffer tank downstream. Buffering helps smooth short consumption peaks, stabilizes delivery pressure, and supports efficient generator cycling. If your application requires high-pressure oxygen storage or cylinder filling, that is typically handled by downstream compression equipment designed specifically for high-pressure service, while the generator focuses on stable oxygen production.

How to Select the Right Standard Model

Begin by defining the oxygen flow required at your target purity and delivery pressure, then map how demand behaves across the day. If oxygen use has peaks, consider whether buffering can stabilize delivery without oversizing the generator. Next, confirm your compressed air system can provide consistent inlet pressure and the required air quality. Finally, plan for future changes such as additional consumers, longer piping runs, or higher monitoring expectations so the solution remains reliable not only on day one but across its full operating life.

FAQs

An oxygen generator is a system that produces high purity oxygen directly on-site from ambient air. Oxywise units use PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) technology, where compressed air passes through zeolite molecular sieves that selectively adsorb nitrogen, allowing oxygen to pass through as the product gas. This ensures a continuous, reliable, and cost effective supply of oxygen without depending on cylinders or liquid oxygen deliveries.
